Hello everyone! Today we will be taking a look at a game played between GMs Shankland and Abdusattorov in the recent 2025 London Chess Classic. As you might have seen, Abdusattorov had an absolutely insane performance finishing with 7.5/9 and comfortably winning the tournament. This was, in my opinion, one of the best games he played throughout the tournament. What started as a relatively quiet Scotch position quickly turned into a tactical middlegame with limited king safety for both sides.

I hope you guys enjoyed the game and learned something new from Abdusattorov’s tactical gameplay. If you have any suggestions for future articles, let me know in the comments. Have a great day 🙂
