Hello everyone! Today we will be taking a look at a game between GMs Garcia and Venkataraman in Round 1 of the World Cup. Although the game started out in a seemingly dry Moscow variation, Garcia came up with an interesting knight sacrifice right after the opening stage. His opponent ended up not accepting the knight sacrifice because he calculated a potential queen sacrifice motif that could have arose a few moves later.
